Halloween howlers
Just in time for a scary October 31st, here’s a fun raw food recipe for your dark side.
Ingredients
60g raisins or old ladies pupils
50g raw cacao butter or bat’s droppings
50g raw moaning macadamias
5g scary purple corn extract
1/2 level teaspoon beastly Blue Manna
The peel of 1/4 orange or some witch’s cellulite
Directions
Soft and squishy, like a swamp creature’s nose. Makes around six howlers, depending on the moulds you can find. Keeps for up to a week in refrigerated in a sealed container.
Spookily melt the cacao butter. Add all ingredients except half the macadamias to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Add the rest of the macadamias and blend until they’re just crushed. Pour into scary moulds. Set in the fridge for about two hours before turning out and gobbling all up.
