I started out in the early 1990s as a designer in software, working on web, GUl and touchscreen design before most people even knew what those words meant.
I loved being at the edge of technology, but something in me knew I wasn’t here to make ordinary things. I wanted to make beautiful things that changed how people felt, lived and saw themselves.
I became vegan in 1987, and in 2000, I began eating raw food and started writing one of the earliest online journals. The word “blog” wasn’t even in common use then, but within months my writing had reached millions of readers.
That blog became Detox Your World… my raw food, superfood and vegan business. I built it from nothing into Europe’s largest superfood company, selling over 800 products, creating the UK’s first raw organic chocolate bars, publishing books, launching a magazine called Passion, travelling the world, and eventually turning over more than $20 million before selling the company in 2012.
Along the way I co-wrote Naked Chocolate, brought raw cacao into mainstream awareness, wrote five books, presented Raw Kitchen on Sky TV, created Sleep Easily Meditation, and became one of the most-listened-to meditation authors in the world.
After selling my business and retiring at 43, I realised I still wasn’t finished. I didn’t want to disappear. I wanted to help other people bring their own visions into the world.
